When we first opened The Vegan Pantry, our name was a proud reflection of our values—kindness toward animals, care for the planet, and a deep love for plant-based food. And that hasn’t changed.

But over time, we realized that the word “vegan” can sometimes create a barrier. Not because of what it means to us—but because of how it’s sometimes misunderstood. We began to worry that the name might unintentionally turn people away before they ever had the chance to experience what we’re really about: warm, comforting food made with love and integrity, that just happens to be dairy-free, egg-free, and 100% plant-based.

So we made a change.

The Gentle Crumb is a softer invitation. It’s a name rooted in the same values—gentleness, care, and compassion—but in a way that we hope feels more approachable and welcoming to all. Whether you’re vegan, curious, or just someone who loves a really good cookie, we want you to feel at home here.

The heart of what we do remains the same: baking gluten-free, plant-based treats that nourish both body and spirit. We’re still your vegan bakery—just with a name that opens the door a little wider.
